Saint Joseph’s East Georgia Helps With the Second Harvest Food Drive

GREENSBORO (October 15, 2009) – Saint Joseph's East Georgia was one of several participants in a food distribution event at Putnam Elementary School, which is sponsored each month by Putnam Community Food Resource Inc. More than 160 families received goods donated to the Resource initiative by the Rotary Club's Second Harvest program and many others.

Jennifer Williams, an ultrasound technician with SJEG was on-hand to administer blood pressure tests throughout the day. 'It was an amazing experience and we are looking forward to being a part of future events and providing a wide variety of screenings for area residents,' said Williams.

Next month's event will be held on Nov. 21.
